This week we are learning about pets, thier needs, and body coverings. Mrs. Wood brought her son's bearded dragon lizard to share with Kindergarten. We learned about the lizards needs, what he eats, and his habitat. The children were also given a chance to pet him.
We read Harry the Dirty Dog and the students illustrated the beginning middle and end to re-tell the story.
In the beginning Harry stole his bath brush and burried it in the backyard. He did not want to take a bath.
In the middle Harry ran away from home and played around the town. He played where they were fixing the road, at the train station, and with his friends in the dirt. Harry got so dirty that he changed from a white dog with black spots to a black dog with white spots.
In the end Harry went home, but his family did not recognize him. Then,he got his brush and ran to the bathtub and the children gave him a bath. Next, Harry's family recognized him and he went to sleep on his bed with the brush tucked under it.
