First week in Kindergarten!

Welcome Back to Kindergarten
For Mrs. Wood anyway!

I am so excited to be back in Kindergarten. We had a great week! We began our reading wall and learning how to create circle maps. We have introduced letters i, a, s, n, p,and l.

We also read the No David books by David Shannon and learned the rules for school.

In Science we learned about taking care of the Earth. We read Look Out For Litter and went on a hunt for Litter Treasure in our Pirate Hats. We also learned about what materials we can recycle, how we can reuse ings, and how we can reduce the amount of water and electricity. The pictures are blurry because we were moving fast.

Home Rules School Rules

We are learning about rules at home and how they keep us safe and provide order. We read No, David, David Gets in Trouble and David Goes to School. We told our friends some rules we have at home and compared those rules to our school rules. We also talked about who enforces the rules at home and at school and what the consequences are for not following the rules at both places. We made a list of home and school rules. Then we made Davids. They turned out so cute.
