Technology

We learned about using technology at home and at school. We also learned about how media and technology are related. We read Arthur's TV trouble and talked about how we view media and how it can be used to persuade you to do or buy something. Then we created a tree map of media technology using words and pre-printed pictures. Then the students created thier own illustrations for each of the media technology items. We replaced the pre-printed pictures with our pictures to create our own tree map.

Click Clack Moo

We read Click Clack Moo Cows that Type. We thought of an animal on the farm and what we would ask for and why. Then we went to the computer lab and typed letters to Farmer Brown.

Microsoft Word Sentences

We practiced typing sentences in Word in the Computer Lab. Then I printed them out and my students illustrated their sentence. They are becoming such great writers!
