100 Day Fun!

We had a great, but very busy 100 Day!

We read The Very Hungry Caterpillar and created a caterpillar that was 100 circle's long. I had each child make 5 circles and bring them to the carpet and then we glued and numbered them to 100. I can not seem to find the completed caterpillar picture I took, so I will take another picture on Monday when  I get to school and post it then.

We also read Grandpa's Teeth and created 100 year old self portriats and wrote about what we would do when we were 100 years old.

We also created 100 fruit loop necklaces and 100 day counting mats that we used to count out our 100 day snack mix consisting of 100 pieces of food. The kids also made 100 day hats and a 100 day Book.

My partner teacher Ms. Palomo had the students create artwork that depicted them at 100 years old. They came out so adorable!

100 Day Caterpillar!

We read The Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. We drew foods he could eat and labled them. Then we created a hungry caterpillar with 100 body parts that created an AABB pattern. We counted by 5's and labled the caterpillar with numbers all the way to 100.

100 Day!

We had a fun filled packed day. We made 100 day hats, read 100 day books, and wrote If I had 100 ___ I would _______.

For math we did 5 stations. We counted by 10's to 100 to show that 100 pennies make 1 dollar, we created a 100 day flip book, filled in a 100 chart, made 100 fruit loop necklace, and made a special 100 day snack made of 100 pieces.

At the end of the day, we read Grandpa's Teeth and created pictures of oursevles at 100 years old. This idea came from several of my blogger firends. They came out so cute. Thanks for the idea.
