I have the kids book boxes ready for tomorrow! Today I reviewed 3 ways to read a book and read the book Reading Makes You Feel Good. Then, we practiced reading to self and we made it to 7 minutes. Tomorrow the kids will be surprised to have their book boxes. I am going to try to have 2 kids share 1 box for lack of boxes and space. They have been sitting around the room in pairs and are doing well so I do not think it will be a problem. In the boxes they have sight word readers, sight word color books, and books we have already read in class that they can re-tell using the pictures. Some of those books are The Kissing Hand, No David, David Gets in Trouble, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, Ms. Bindergarten Gets Ready for Kindergarten and some ABC books.
