This week we started learning about measurment and to introduce capacity we filled differnet size containers with rice, beans and macaroni. We compared how much each container would hold and identified which containers held more or less. Then, I had the students fold a paper in half and write holds more on one side and holds less on the other side. The students drew which container at their table held more and which held less.
I love looking at your slides! This is a cute lesson. We do a similar lesson in my classroom. I put the items in our sand table and the children do this as a center activity!
