We just finished our unit on Christmas around the world. We read books and learned about Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, St. Lucia Day, and Christmas in Holland. We painted a menorah and a kinara. We put our shoes out for Sinter Klaus to put candy in and we celebrated St. Lucia Day ( Sweden ) by making crowns and eating sweet rolls. We also made Christmas Tree cards for our families in honor of Christmas in Germany (where the tradition of the Christmas Tree originated)
