On Monday, We read When The Leaf Blew In. In this story a leaf blows into a farm and the animals react in different ways. Then we re-read the book and identified the nouns (animals) and verbs ( actions the animals did).During the second reading we made a list of nouns and verbs from the story. Then we acted out the story be the kids being the animals and doing each action. To close the lesson each student typed a sentence in the computer lab about themselves doing something and then illustrated it. They identified themselves as the noun and what they were doing as the verb.
