Shadows

In honor of Groundhog's Day we are studing about shadows this week. Today we learned that you need 3 things to make a shadow. 1. light  2. an object to block the light and 3. a surface to shine the light on.
We used flashlights for the light, our hands and classroom objects for the objects, and white paper on our tables for the surface.

The sun came out on Tuesday and we were able to go outside and see our shadows and even chased our shadows around for a few minutes.
