We read the Snowy Day and constructed a snow day scene. Then, to extend the story, we wrote about what Peter and his friend could have done in the snow. We also used insta snow and made our own snow and got to play with it. The children got to see the snow grow and had a great time having fun while still keeping warm inside.
Love your snow! That's so great to give the children that experience when the climate doesn't allow it naturally.
ReplyDeleteI'm in Tennessee, and we've been out of school for a week because of (literally) 1-2 inches of snow on the ground! It's barely even covering the grass, and we are still off!
