We learned about Christopher Columbus last Friday before our long weekend . I read a short story with some hand movements to keep the students engaged and then we read a Weekly Reader about him. I also found a cute 5 min cartoon about his voyage that the students watched. Then, we made ships and did a shared writing to summarize the story of Christopher Columbus.
