We are learning about punctuation marks, so we read Who Stole The Cookies From the Cookie Jar and identified the marks in the poem. Then we passed around a cookie jar filled with punctuation cookies while chanting the poem with each student's name. As the students took a cookie from the cookie jar they had to identify the punctuation mark on it. Later I would say a sentence and the students would hold up the correct punctuation mark to go with it.
