In honor of letter P, we read If You Give a Pig A Pancake. While reading we used the illustrations to make connections with the text and to make predictions about what was going to happen next. We also used schema( prior knowledge) to predict what the pig might want next. Then we made pigs and illustrated and wrote about what we would give our pig and what he might want when we gave it to him.
