The baby chicks finally arrived. Unfortunately they hatched over the weekend and we missed it. But imagine our surprise when we looked into the incubator to find 14 baby chicks on Monday morning.
I always love it. It took some trail and error. Most years I have to do two batches of eggs becuase something has always gone wrong witht the first batch. The temperature and humidity are very hard to keep right. I can't imagine how a hen does it so easily.
I love them!!! So adorable. I created a new chick hatching journal this year as we observed ours. There are pages to record what you see when you candle, predictions, teaching about how to handle the eggs and chicks, writing forms, etc. Maybe you can use it next year! ;)
Yay! Baby chicks success! Congratulations.
