We read Popcorn Popcorn by Tomie Depola. We learned how the Native American People discovered popcorn by throwing corn seeds on the fire and how the Iroquios people discovered how to pop corn in clay pots over hot coals.We also learned how to pop our own corn using oil and a stove. Then we popped corn, wrote and illustrated a recipe card, and ate the popcorn!
