Butterfly Measurement

We used Kim Adsit 's Measure Me with Butterflies to learn about taller and shorter. This fit right in with out insect theme this week. We predicted how many butterflies tall we were and then we measured ourselves. I put each child's picture by the butterfly to show how tall they were. Then we used the recording sheet to tell how many butterflies tall we were and our friend was. Then we wrote who was taller and who was shorter. Finally, the children drew themselves and their friend on the paper at the right number of butterflies.

  1. I love your measurement activities. Where can I get a copy of all the wonderful worksheets for my class?

    Thanks!
