We read the Princess and the Pea and constructed a bed, like the one in the story. Then the students rolled a die 2 times to determine how many peas to put under the mattresses. They used the numbers to create and solve their own addition problem. I bought a large box of scrapbooking paper on clearance from Michael's and have plenty left to use for other projects and next year.
I LOVE reading The Princess and the Pea to my kids. I will definitely be using this. Super cute!
