Apple Tree Graph

We tasted red, green, and yellow apples. Then, the students decided which apple they liked best and painted a plate that color. We used the apple plates to construct a graph and then we analyzed the graph. We counted the red apples, green apples, and the yellow apples and told which had the most votes and which had the fewest votes. We also added the yellow and red apples and the green apples to tell how many apples we had altogether. This idea came from Deanna Jump's Apple Math and Literature unit which can be purchased at http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Deanna-Jump-11.
